About Richard Evans
Recognizing the growing demand for elite instruction that fits into the lives of busy students, Richard pioneered Remote Piano as a platform to deliver world-class online piano lessons without geographical barriers.
A pianist, educator and performer, Richard has playing the piano for more than 40 years and teaching since 2001. His students have ranged 5 year old novices to budding concert pianists and everything in between, with a particular focus on students that expect an exceptional experience but do not have the time or means to attend in-person elite lessons.
Richard’s significant experience has helped develop an approach that is both flexible and focussed on success. His mastery of the piano and personable nature allows him to integrate individualized coaching, technical proficiency, and creative expression, ensuring that every student experiences a journey of musical growth tailored to their needs. Through Remote Piano, Richard continues to transform lives by sharing the joy and discipline of piano playing with those who value both excellence and convenience.

All students begin their journey with a personal consultation that lasts about 90 minutes. In this first meeting we will discuss your piano goals, schedule and lifestyle, preferred pattern of learning and take the first steps of playing the piano together.
For more advanced students who already have attained a minimum of Grade 3, it is possible to skip the initial consultation and move straight to a standard lesson.
